Alyssa Valdez loves volleyball more than volleyball since her elder brothers also love the game of volleyball and not basketball. Most of the men in the Philippines loves to play basketball but the brothers of Alyssa Valdez are different, they were more in to the game of volleyball compared to the game of basketball that’s why they introduced the game of volleyball to Alyssa Valdez at the very young age. The introduction to the sport was perfect because Alyssa Valdez fell in love to the game of volleyball and made an extra effort in developing her skill in playing the game.

Right now, as of 2014, Alyssa Valdez had a great achievement in her young career. At a very young age, she was able to be appointed as the captain of the team. Yes Alyssa Valdez is still very young because she is just 20 years old and she will turn 21 this coming June 29 2014. Can you imagine at that young age being able to be the captain of a powerhouse team? It’s a huge task for Alyssa Valdez and she is more than ready in facing the challenges that may come in the future. This coming season of the UAAP women’s volleyball would surely be a great season for Alyssa Valdez because it would be a test of skill as a player and as a leader. But she has a lot of supporters and she has a great skill in playing volleyball the only key to that is she should deliver that each and every game because her teammates trusts her and needs her each and every game.

As a fan of Alyssa Valdez, all I could do to support her is by watching her game. Even though I’m not from the same University as Alyssa but still I am a fan of her because of her playing style. She is considered as one of the rising stars in the league together with other UAAP women’s volleyball player from different teams but Alyssa Valdez seems to have a gap among all of those players because of her raw talent and her determination in improving her game each and every day.  May the Ateneo de Manila University grab another championship victory with the help of Alyssa Valdez.
